A great day for birds as 27 species were sighted today

A very short 10 minute look outside, Also all birds sighted today aswell

Birds sighted at my house:

  • 1 robin at the top of the tree but soon got scared by the starlings
  • 1 magpie scaring all the obvious birds in the apple tree
  • 30+ starlings in the trees, feeding in the nearby gardens and flying around the houses
  • 1 wood pigeon flew over
  • 1 chaffinch flew from the berry tree to the apple tree
  • Lots of Jackdaws
  • A small number of ferel pigeons
  • Gulls
  • 7 LONG TAILED TITS flew quickly past my bedroom window this morning together

  • Jackdaws, magpies and the very common ferel pigeons were all sighted as well as 2 carrion crows, 3 wood pigeons, 2 collard doves and a black headed gull.

The same Autumn walk as yesterday with a BIG change.

Although today I went for the same walk as yesterday, I went later than yesterday and this was a BIG change to the birds I saw.

Birds sighted:

Buzzard
  • 4 house sparrows
  • 1 buzzards
  • 3 robins
  • 6 gold finches
  • 1 chaffinch
  • 20+ jackdaws
  • 10+ carrion crows
  • 1 male blackbird
  • 2 blue tits
  • 5 wood pigeons
  • 40+ Rooks
  • 6 REDWING
  • 1 FIELDFARE
  • 100+ Starlings
  • 6 CORMARANTS
  • Possibly 3-7 REDPOLL in a tree. Hard to tell because of fading light and no photographs
  • 200+ Gulls such as herring, black headed and common gulls but no great or lesser black backed gulls in the flocks.
